Board of Directors

The Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association (WMAA) Board of Directors is an engaged, diverse group of medical alumni committed to supporting medical students through mentoring, scholarships and other opportunities. Our philanthropic initiatives include the Stethoscope Fund, which covers the cost of incoming MD students’ first stethoscope, and the WMAA Fund, which supported a scholarship matching campaign in 2021 and is considered the lifeblood of WMAA. Our goal is to create an exceptional environment for students and help build a strong sense of community among alumni through reunions and funding for Quarterly magazine.

Newly appointed board members serve a three-year term, with the option to renew for another three years. The board meets twice a year on campus in the fall and spring. We encourage you to nominate yourself for service on the WMAA Board of Directors. Elections are held in spring.

Board Advisory Council

The Board Advisory Council is comprised of former members of the Board of Directors who have long-standing involvement with the WMAA. Board Advisory Council members serve two-year terms that can be renewed repeatedly. They do not have a vote on the WMAA Board of Directors.
