Medical alumni helped make 2025 a year to remember in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. Look back with us on key milestones and moments of connection.

In 2025, Dr. Robert N. Golden stepped down after nineteen years as dean.

We welcomed Dr. Nita Ahuja as the new dean of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.

Alumni gathered for events like Homecoming and the Scholarship Reception, strengthening their bonds with the school and each other.

We loved hearing from Badger physicians from around the country, including Hannah Cress, MD '24 and Meg Smollen, MD '83 in Iowa City.

We welcomed 176 M1 students and sent 167 newly-matched MDs out into the world.

Amid uncertainty and change, we remained focused on our mission to improve the health and well-being of people in Wisconsin and beyond.

See you in 2026!
